Outmusic Inc. is the premiere 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that serves as the umbrella to LARA the LGBT Academy of Recording Arts home to the OUTmusic Awards. All donations are non-refundable tax deductible donations. The organization was created to promote the advancement and appreciation of LGBT music culture & heritage as a recognized artform, create opportunities to support the development of young aspiring artists, increase visibility in honoring, documenting and archiving the contributions and achievements of marginalized LGBT artists into music & entertainment history.

The LGBT Academy of Recording Arts (LARA) in partnership with the W Hotel Times Square hosted a reception for the Outmusic Special Award Honorees.

The Academy is proud to partner with the W Hotels'  TURN IT UP FOR CHANGE awareness campaign to celebrate gay music culture and Freedom of Expression.
